This group of hot guys are none other than my usrah group, the mujtaba. Better known as Mujies! Neighs~
Through retard and lameness we shall overcome any obstacles.
Formed back then in 2003 by the Usrah Man aka Bro Shahid.
It was unfortunate that Hanif couldn't join us due to work commitments.dd

All of them are like my siblings to me already and I wouldn't be where I am today without the encouragement from each and everyone of them and I am very grateful to Allah for the bonds that have been forged among us.May it be even stronger in the future Insya`Allah.


On another note, Usrah will most probably be on next friday after Deepavali. We will be walking on hot coals and piercing our tongues during usrah so be prepared. Will touch base with the Usrah Man again soon Insya`Allah.

Langsir bergerak

Was on my way back home from school when something shiny was flashing at me

Saw this kain jemuran on the poles which was all in gold..

My first thought initially was kain langsir (curtains) being left to dry out in the sun.

But a second look proved me wrong when it was actually baju kurung of a whole family including the little ones all in gold..

Maybe this is what they say..

Bila raya tiba mulalah kita nampak langsir bergerak.. hehe

Fatimah: Ali, why don't we get married?

Ali: Married? I think it would be quite tough.

Fatimah: Tough? Why so? We can live with your parents after we get married.

Ali: That's the problem. My parents are still living with theirs.

A time to 'kenal sedara'

I used to dread having to go to countless relative houses whom I do not know but how would you then know them if you do not come to their place is what my mom always used to say.

For the past few year, I had several pleasant surprises while visiting some of my sedara houses.. While sitting down enjoying the cake lapis and minding my own business suddenly a familiar face came to me.

Familiar face: Assalamualaikum.. Apa kau buat pat sini?

Me: Wa`alaikumsalam.. Err... Asal aku tkbole ader pat sini?

Familiar face: Ni rumah aku..

Me: Iyerker? Kira kita ni sedara lah eh?

The familiar face is none other then Aminurrashid.. A friend of mine from temasek poly. Always met him in poly or events done by NurIkhwan.. The house that I visited was my nenek sdara's which I had always visited since I was a kid and it was only then that I knew that my mom and his were cousins..

Yah Small world.. If thats not enough, his mom then asked me..

Aunt: Kenal Hanim tak? Dia dalam Saff tau...

Me: Hanim? Saff? Full name dia apa?

Aunt: Firza Hanim...

Me: Ler... Pfftt.. Kenal...

Yeah so she's Amin's younger sister..


In another case, while I was busy serving drinks at my house as usual on the 1st day of raya.. A 'new relative' came to my house and another familiar face came to me.

Familiar face: Eh fiz... Apa kau buat pat sini?

Me: Err... Apa aku buat pat sini? Ni rumah aku..

Familiar face: Hah? rumah kau? rumah aku just across je dengan rumah kau... Kita sdara lahni?

The familiar face is none other then Mohd Amin. My camp mate in Jalan Bahar and yeah his dad and my dad are cousins.. What's with me and people by the name of Amin? Haha..


My point here is.. It is true that as a Muslim, kita suma bersaudara but then in this busy pace that we're living in right now.. If we do not follow our parents to visit this distant relatives of ours.. Your best friend,buddy in Tekong,poly,secondary,PAP,Jamiyah and Al Iman kindergarten might just be your second cousins.. Hee..

Can't wait for Saff's and NI's jalan raya.. Hoping to meet more 'sedara'

Eid Mubarak

I think I should start preparing a cassette tape for my answers to the frequently asked questions.

The questions you always get during your visit to your relatives..Not for your aunt and uncles but for the distant relatives whom you usually meet during Eid only.

Questions like..

Distant relative : Eh dah besar eh??!! (Looks shocked as if this is the first time I visited them)

Cassette tape answer : Iyerker? Agaknyer jambul saya tak niari extra special

Distant relative : Sekarang dah sec brapa? Dah amek O level?

Cassette tape answer : Heh.. saya skg dah 23 tahun.........Dahnak kahwin pon...

Distant relative : Eh dulu kecik2 suka makan jelly nyayi buat kan?

Cassette tape answer: Iyerker? Kalau jellybean ader pon saya makan...


And the list goes on...

Just have to make sure I dun mix up the answers...

And yeah.. was just joking about getting married soon part... Huhu..
